From Ida Bullion
Ida called to tell us that the best experience she had with Pointe Project was when she gave $30 to the cashier at her usual latte stand to pay for the drinks for those in line behind her. Receiving this act of generosity inspired generosity in others as well and the folks who run the latte stand said that for two days people continued to spontaneously pay for the drinks of those behind them in line!

" Pointe Project experience" from Barbara F.
When I committed to this Project, I began to think what can "I" do or who can "I" help? I began to pray for God to open the doors and show me what "He" wanted me to do. I have had several opportunities to minister and I've been blessed to be a part of what God is doing.
I was driving through Fred Meyer parking lot on a rainy day, when I saw two Mexican men with large plastic trash barrels picking up paper and doing weeding. The Holy Spirit prompted me to stop and give each of them $10.00 and a card from High Pointe. I told them that my church was helping others in the community and I wanted them to have this. They looked surprised but thanked me.
I baked 6 dozen chocolate chip cookies and put them in 4 packages with a thank you note and card from High Pointe. I took them to 3 fire departments and the sheriff precinct and told them they were in appreciation for all they do for our community. It was a blessing to see their amazement and appreciation.
An unusual opportunity presented itself when I was in a UPS place enlarging some color copies. The employee (a young black man) asked me what fragrance I was wearing. He later explained, it was hard for him to ask but he liked it so much and wanted to get it for his girl friend. I told him it was lotion and the fragrance had been discontinued. A couple days later, God reminded me that I had a big tube of it on hand so I delivered it to him. He was so excited! He couldn't believe what had just happened. He offered to pay for it but I told him all he needed to do was read the card. He thanked me over and over as I was walking out the door.
I really felt the Lord wanted me to help a family that was in need but I was at lost as to how to locate such a need.God opened up the means through an elementary school counselor. After several conversations, it has been arranged for me to meet a single mom at a designated place to give her a $100.00 Wal Mart gift card for her and her two children.
This has been an incredible journey the past two weeks. It has given me a renewed desire to be open and sensitive to needs around me that can be met through the love of Jesus!
